EdCrunch-2019 6th International conference on new practices in education took place in Moscow

2017 was a year of priority project “Modern digital educational environment” launch, its objective is to provide a breakthrough in the accessibility of domestic digital educational resources on every level of education and enter the mentioned resources global market by 2020. The project is focused on creating conditions for systematic improvement of quality, accessibility, continuity and applicability of education by using modern technologies in distant education, scientific potential of leading universities of Russia and existing online-platforms and business project functioning experience. In frames of the conference, representatives of professional education community, governmental authorities and big corporations traditionally discuss progress and issues of digital transformation of the process of education and its compliance to contemporary market demands.

Special guests of the opening were Dmitriy Peskov, President’s representative in charge of digital and technological development, Arkadiy Dvorckovitch, “Skolkovo” fund chairman, Marina Rakova, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Education, Alevtina Chernikova, rector of NITU “MISIS” (MSSES). Also, during the opening ceremony winners of EDCRUNCH AWARD OOC, EDCRUNCH AWARD PRODUCT, EDCRUNCH AWARD OEC, GESA RUSSIA were rewarded.

Throughout two days of the conference the participants were engaged in work sessions, panel discussions, workshops and presentations, devoted to pre-school, school, university and corporative issues.

A press-conference “Digital university: building capacity for technological breakthrough” was held at the beginning of the conference, where Marina Borovskaya, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, answered journalists’ questions.

She also addressed to media-community with a proposal to intensively engage its audience into the discussion of the transformation of educational technologies.

Also Marina Borovskaya noted, that digitalization processes are directly related to the general trend of personalization of educational path, which requires high level of self-organization. According to Deputy Minister, direct interaction with employers and business partners who directly voice the modern requirements for competencies and skills will help.
