Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science and OECD will assess school education quality, according to PISA research standards

Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science (Rosobrnadzor) and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) started a project of conducting annual federal and regional school education quality assessment that is based on the sample of PISA research. An agreement to carry out the first round of the assessment in 2019 was signed by OECD and the Federal Institute for Education Quality Assessment (FIOCO), which is a subordinate organization of Rosobrnadzor.

Sociological surveys will be conducted together with student assessment in order to provide insight into how Russian citizens see country’s education system, what do they expect and what factors influence their attitude to it. The first 14 Russia’s regions will take part in the assessment in autumn 2019 and by 2024 the research will cover the whole country.
