Center for International Cooperation in Education Development (CICED) was established in order to enhance education quality in developing countries. One of CICED priorities is to involve Russian expert community into international programs.
This ambitious objective cannot be achieved without active exchange of knowledge, technologies and practical solutions between leading Russian and international experts within international conferences, workshops and training activities as well as in the joint research on the target countries’ needs, development and implementation of projects on education quality improvement.
Development aid in education
Education in developing countries is one of the major challenges to the efforts of the expert community to international development assistance in recent decades
Over the past 15 years considerable experience is accumulated in the implementation of international initiatives to increase access to basic education. However, despite significant progress in achieving the Millennium development Goals between 2000 and 2015, only provision of the access to universal education was insufficient: many of the primary school graduates still do not demonstrate the basic skills of reading, writing and accounts, which, in turn, requires clarification of goals and targets to achieve universal quality education.
