Working meeting of representatives of CICED with representatives of the National Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education (NCQA) under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan”

On December 14, 2023, a meeting was held with the head of CICED, A.A. Neverov with the Director of the National Center for Assessment of the Quality of Education under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan S.F. Jafarov. Representatives of NCOCO were also present at the meeting. The meeting took place in the warmest possible atmosphere, as regular face-to-face collaboration was disrupted due to restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Republic of Tajikistan, represented by the National Assessment Center, has officially participated in the READ Program since 2011. During this time, the National Center itself was built, and a highly professional team of specialists was formed, which repeatedly won scientific grants for research.

During the meeting, a program of joint work for 2024 was discussed, in particular, conducting an intercountry study using Russian tools of the SAM family. The NTSKO team is well acquainted with this technology for monitoring educational results. During the meeting, issues of using the Russian SAM tool, its theoretical basis, areas of application, specification were discussed; features of organizing and conducting monitoring of educational and subject competencies of primary school students; interpretation of results and development of management decisions based on the results of analysis of monitoring results at different levels of the educational system; issues of localizing the tool for monitoring educational and subject competencies and others.

Agreements were reached to develop a plan for joint projects no later than January-February 2024. For this purpose, several additional working meetings will be held with NCOCO specialists online at the beginning of 2024.
