Conference on education quality assessment took place in Moscow

The participants of “Winter education quality assessment” conference discussed the results of research in the sphere of education quality and various assessment procedures as well as action plan and objectives for the next year.

During the welcome speech, Deputy Director of Federal Service for Supervision in education and science (Rosobrnadzor) Anzor Muzaev highlighted that Russian Federation has a unified system of education quality assessment which includes Unified State Examination (USE); Basic State Examination (BSE); National education quality research; international comparative education quality and teachers’ competence studies.

“The main requirement that we put forward for all these procedures is an objective assessment. It’s useless to carry out research and make any conclusions without it.” – told Anzor Muzaev

He also mentioned that since 2019, an education quality assessment research, based on the model of PISA study, has been added to the traditional evaluation procedures in this sphere. In the current year it was conducted in first 14 regions and by 2024 the remaining ones are going to pass through it either.

Besides that, the conference participants also got to know about the outcomes of different education quality research carried out in 2019, e. g. National education quality research on technology, studies of colleges’ students training quality and teachers’ competence.
