Participation in UNECE Regional Forum 2022

From 6th to 7th April 2022, experts of the Center will take part in the regional forum of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) 2022. For the UNECE region, the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development is a widely recognized platform that continues to bring together an increasing number of participants and groups.

The Regional Forum, which brings together high- and middle-income countries from North America, Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Israel, engages UN Member States to exchange views on regional priorities for well-being, innovation, inclusion, and environmental sustainability, climate and sustainable consumption and production, which has a positive impact on the achievement of the SDGs at the national level.

In view of the increased need to combine SDGs acceleration and post-COVID-19 recovery, the 2022 UNECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development will focus on approaches to post-global pandemic recovery while promoting the full implementation of the 2030 SDG Agenda in the region.

CICED, in collaboration with partners from the CIS countries, will host an event within the framework of the forum dedicated to finding ways out of the global education crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic through strengthening cooperation in the field of education research. The event was proposed in the format of a remote panel session with the participation of experts from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Armenia and the Kyrgyz Republic. The event is scheduled for April 7, 2022 and will be held in English and Russian.
