Annual conference of the Eurasian Association for Educational Assessment 2021

Annual conference of the Eurasian Association for Educational Assessment took place in Moscow in blended (online and onsite) format. In situation of ongoing restrictions related to the COVID-2019 pandemic, countries continue to grapple with new challenges, including and especially in the area of education. Most educational systems have adapted to some degree to operate in the new circumstances and returned to performing the entire pre-pandemic set of functions. The conference was dedicated to discussions of the overcoming pandemic results in education, the new challenges to monitor education quality and conduct educational research. Key topics of the conference were: “10 years of centralized exams in the post-Soviet space” and “National and international monitoring: features of the organization and use of the results.” The sub-themes of the conference were “Assessment of soft skills”, “Proctoring within the framework of education quality assessment procedures” and “Cross-country projects and programs for assessing the quality of education: examples and features”. The conference included participation of over 300 specialists from 8 countries and 23 regions of Russia, around 30 presentations, workshop and symposium. READ Program specialists have participated in the conference.
