Seminar devoted to IRSA research conducting was held on December 10-11 in Bishkek

Experts of the Center for international cooperation in education (CICED) together with representatives of National Center for education quality assessment under Ministry of education and science of Kyrgyz Republic (NCOKO) took part in the seminar devoted to International research of students’ achievements (IRSA). The key agenda points were current issues of the research along with the scheduling of joint activities of CICED and NCOKO for the next year.

Based on the results of the meeting, a preliminary work schedule for 2020-2021 was agreed, priority areas of work were identified and the first results of 2019 were summed up.

In course of the seminar, Kyrgyz colleagues highlighted the importance of IRSA for the development of education in the republic and particularly improve its quality. Besides that, according to the staff of the Center, participation in the IRSA gave them an opportunity to gain valuable experience in conducting international comparative studies, which will definitely help in preparation for PISA-2024.
